Senior Front End Developer (UI/UX)

Role purpose

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of company-wide web applications and libraries; design, architect, and implement software components.
• Manage build and deployment project activities independently; create and maintain tests to ensure functionality and quality.
• Develop design documentation for new software and later versions; identify opportunities to improve and optimize applications.
• Work with business analysts or product managers to understand requirements; support and mentor developers on JavaScript and web concepts.
• Follow quality and consistency guidelines and company software development standards.

Knowledge and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science; graduate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of advanced JavaScript and functional programming experience, 3+ years of advanced CSS experience, and 2+ years of HTML5 techniques.
• Expert-level JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3; strong React and related library experience; proficiency in TypeScript.
• Familiarity with functional programming principles and component-driven development.
• Deep understanding of UI/UX best practices, responsive design, and design systems; hands-on WCAG and ARIA implementation.
• Ability to work with designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into high-quality interfaces.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work independently with sound judgment.

Preferred experience and tools

• Experience with modern build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or Babel; package managers such as npm; Git and CI/CD pipelines; testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
• Preferred: maintaining shared component libraries or design systems; SPA performance optimization; theming systems and CSS-in-JS solutions such as Styled Components or Emotion.
