Senior Flutter Mobile Engineer (Development and QA / QC)

Role overview

Development responsibilities

• Own Flutter app architecture, code quality, features, production delivery, releases, and upgrades for existing users.
• Build reliable real-time features for heavy use and weak connections, with Arabic and English right-to-left and left-to-right screens.
• Integrate REST APIs and third-party payment, messaging, and push-notification services; maintain and extend internal Android apps.
• Build security into apps, including secure storage, personal-data protection, and secure sign-in.
• Manage App Store and Google Play signing, review, and staged rollouts; mentor developers and plan work with the project manager.

Testing and quality responsibilities

• Own quality approval for every mobile release and establish team standards, definition of done, release checklists, and bug severity levels.
• Plan and run functional, regression, and acceptance tests on real iPhones and Android phones in Arabic and English.
• Reproduce and fix bugs, write reports with steps, logs, and recordings, and track each issue through confirmed resolution.
• Build unit, widget, and integration tests and run them on every build; test APIs and coordinate defects with the back-end team.
• Test weak or lost connections, older phones and system versions, payments, sign-in, and notifications; monitor crash reports and user reviews.

Development qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional mobile development, including at least 3 years of production Flutter and Dart.
• Apps personally built and live on both the App Store and Google Play.
• Strong BLoC state management and clean, layered architecture.
• Native experience on at least one platform: Kotlin or Java on Android, or Swift on iOS, including platform channels and native SDKs.
• Experience with REST APIs, token-based authentication, secure device storage, real-time features, push notifications, and weak-connection behavior.
• Experience delivering a major app rewrite or migration, including moving existing users; building right-to-left bilingual interfaces; and managing releases on both stores.
• Experience integrating in-app payment gateways and securely handling transactions.

Testing and language qualifications

• Hands-on mobile app testing and QA/QC alongside development, including test plans, test cases, and regression testing on real devices across iOS and Android versions and screen sizes.
• Clear bug reporting and tracking in a tool such as Linear or Jira, including reproduction steps, expected and actual results, device details, evidence, and severity.
• Flutter unit, widget, and integration testing in CI (GitLab CI, Fastlane, or similar); debugging with Flutter DevTools, logs, crash reports, and profiling; API testing with Postman or similar.
• Arabic and English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.

Preferred qualifications

• Both native platforms (Swift and Kotlin); auction, marketplace, or fintech product experience.
• Patrol, Maestro, or Appium; Firebase Test Lab or BrowserStack; an ISTQB testing certificate.
• Government or enterprise client experience, or work under standards such as ISO 27001; camera features such as photo capture, upload, or document scanning; earlier technical lead experience.
