In the Middle East, Egis provides engineering, consulting, and project-management services and has delivered complex development projects across the region.

Role Overview

The Senior Fire & Life Safety Project Manager owns end-to-end FLS project management and delivery, with accountability for technical quality, commercial performance, programme, resources, client management, and completion.

The role combines strong FLS technical knowledge with project and commercial management, leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliant deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across FLS strategies, fire protection and firefighting, fire alarm and detection, passive fire protection, smoke control, egress, compartmentation, suppression, fire service access, and performance-based solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure FLS designs meet local codes, Civil Defence requirements, adopted international standards, and project requirements.
  • Review critical technical deliverables and ensure technical review and quality-control processes are completed before submission.
  • Direct project engineers, specialists, and design-review teams; resolve complex technical and multidisciplinary interface issues.
  • Document technical decisions, assumptions, deviations, and agreed design solutions.
  • Coordinate technical submissions and responses to Civil Defence and other relevant authorities.
  • Lead technical workshops and meetings with clients, designers, contractors, and approving authorities.
  • Manage scope, budget, risk, programme, resources, client needs, commercial performance, and authority approvals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 15 years of relevant Fire & Life Safety or Fire Engineering experience, including significant complex multidisciplinary project management.
  • Strong FLS project experience across technical delivery, commercial management, programme, resources, and client coordination.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable NFPA standards, local building and fire codes, and Civil Defence requirements.
  • Relevant professional certification or professional engineering registration is preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent project-management qualification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience managing consultants, specialist engineers, and multidisciplinary design interfaces.
  • Civil Defence or authority approval process experience is highly desirable.

Role Expectations

Take full ownership of complex FLS projects, balancing technical quality, client requirements, programme, resources, commercial performance, risk, and authority approvals.
