Senior Fire Fighting Engineer

Position

Design verification and engineering

• Review and verify fire fighting, fire suppression, and life safety design packages, including shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, schematic layouts, and material submittals.
• Check water demand, pipe sizing, sprinkler density, and hazard classifications against ADCD rules and NFPA standards.
• Perform value engineering and identify gaps before execution to optimize safety, compliance, and cost.
• Coordinate with MEP, electrical, civil, and architectural teams to prevent routing or functional conflicts.

Procurement and material control

• Audit and approve BOQs, material take-offs, and supplier commercial bids; evaluate and prequalify vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
• Check required ADCD-approved certificates or ADNOC approvals for vendors and subcontractors.
• Issue Material Inspection Requests and technical approvals for fire pumps, deluge systems, FM-200 or Novec cylinders, and pre-action valves.

Site execution and approvals

• Oversee installation of piping, sprinklers, clean-agent suppression networks, and foam systems against approved drawings.
• Resolve site engineering modifications, spatial issues, and installation deviations; supervise quality, safe work practices, WIRs, and schedules.
• Lead testing and commissioning, including interlocks with HVAC, BMS, and fire alarms.
• Serve as the technical interface during ADCD inspections to secure occupancy and completion certificates and support project handover.

Candidate qualifications

• At least 10 years of professional experience.
• Abu Dhabi Civil Defense approved or certified.
• Expertise in fire protection design, ADCD requirements, and NFPA standards.

Pay

• Pay is AED 10,000–12,000 per month.

• Work location is in person in Abu Dhabi.
