Senior Financial Analyst, Procurement

Position description

Financial analysis and reporting

• Use accounting knowledge and advanced Excel to communicate financial data for senior-level decisions.
• Build financial models and analyses for procurement operations and special projects with category leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Build, maintain, and improve commodity models; research market activity and provide analytics.
• Own monthly financial reporting and close deliverables and support periodic forecasting.
• Explain complex issues clearly with analysis and storytelling; proactively analyze issues and align business partners.
• Provide Global Procurement reports and inquiries on forecasting, inventory, historical purchases, claims, and other topics.

Procurement and system administration

• Maintain material master, standard cost, vendor contract, info record, contract, and other purchasing files in SAP.
• Enter and maintain purchasing information and verify integrity of purchasing and costing files.
• Coordinate timely purchasing-information changes for raw-material introductions, deletions, and updates with Senior Buyers.
• Update SharePoint price sheets using information from Senior Buyers.
• Respond to Accounts Payable about invoice price discrepancies.
• Provide administrative support to the Procurement Finance Manager as needed.

Skills and experience

• Advanced Excel is required; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word is expected.
• Knowledge of SAP or another large ERP system preferred.
• Accounting knowledge and experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to resolve problems with little supervision.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant finance experience; consumer packaged goods or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Cross-functional experience with business teams is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; MBA or master-level education is a plus.
• CFA, CA, or CPA accreditation is preferred but not required.
