Overview
Develops and complete month-end management reports and presentations for the board
Analyzes financial data and relevant information and interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance
Prepares a variety of ad hoc reports as and when required by Management covering areas such as budget information, data comparison and benchmarking information and checks for accuracy and compliance with Management requirements
Conducts complex studies to determine the cost of business activities.
Recommends budget adjustments and cost improvement measurements
Determines and analyses complex statistical and financial data and relevant information; interpreting data to project a financial probability
Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis
Establishes and oversees financial and control systems and procedures
Supervises the analysis of obtained information and reviews all work prior to submission to management to check reports for accuracy and good presentation
Manages to work with the Financial Analyst when required to acquire financial and quantitative information, using various internal and external sources to ensure timely submission of such data to Management
Oversees the duties assigned to the Financial Analyst
Provides work direction and ensures that work produced and submitted to the management
is accurate and within established timeframes
Provides on the job training and orienting the team during course of work
Promotes a service oriented attitude in addressing employee queries effectively
Manages to develop and maintain an appropriate mechanism for sharing data, to aid financial analysis and reporting
Prepares budget calculation and advises supervisor/management on budget scenarios and sensitivity analysis
Develops budget and rolling forecasts templates and update them to be concurrent
Facilitates and use relevant systems for budget preparation and tracking
Accountabilities
Ensures completeness and accuracy of reporting package, general accounting, and month end close process
Ensures timely completion and validation of report before sending out to manager s for review
Maintains collaborative and effective relationship with other key management personnel and keeps abreast of significant economic, social and technical trends, and regulatory guidelines, which may influence assigned functions
Assists with answering employees queries and concerns during their service at the facility
Establishes and maintains a mutually beneficial relationship with similar level staff in related external organizations
Liaises closely with the management and finance in order to discuss reporting requests and findings to ensure that management requirements are fully and accurately met
