Senior Finance Manager

About This Role

Hays is partnering with a leading telecommunications organisation to appoint an experienced Head of Finance to lead the finance function and provide strategic financial direction across the business.

This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility for financial strategy, governance, compliance, and performance management, working closely with senior management and the Board.

Role Overview

As Head of Finance, you will lead the finance department, providing strategic direction, financial expertise, and strong leadership to drive financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the organisation’s long‑term growth and sustainability

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organisation’s financial strategy, policies, and long‑term plans
• Lead and manage the finance function , driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Oversee core financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow, and risk management
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and KPIs, providing insight and recommendations to improve results
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulators
• Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks to mitigate financial and operational risks
• Lead financial analysis and modelling to support strategic initiatives, investments, and business planning
• Provide clear financial guidance and reporting to senior leadership and the Board
• Stay abreast of industry, market, and regulatory developments impacting the telecommunications sector

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field ; MBA or Master’s preferred
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or CFA highly desirable
• 10–12 years’ experience in progressive finance leadership roles, preferably within telecommunications
• Strong expertise in financial management, regulation, and governance
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive business performance
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
• Experience with ERP systems and financial modelling tools (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
• Arabic language skills are advantageous but not mandator
