Senior Finance Analyst, Amazon Payments Finance MENA

Overview

• 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree
• Experience with SQL for data mining and business intelligence Amazon Payments seeks a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Analyst to support the Amazon Payment Experience initiatives across the MENA (Middle East and North Africa), ZA (South Africa), and TR (Turkey) regions. • Key job responsibilities
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage financial models to support short- and long-term financial planning for the Amazon Payment Experience initiatives in the MEATR region.
• Prepare variance analysis, financial metrics, and reporting to provide insights into business performance.
• Business Partnering: Partner with key business stakeholders, including the Amazon Payments commercial team, to align financial and operational analyses, challenge assumptions, and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial and business goals.
• Controllership & Compliance: Enhance finance controllership through the development and maintenance of models, reports, and processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, including financial and tax-related regulations.
• Dive deep to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance.
• Strategic Analysis & Recommendations: Conduct financial and strategic analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvements, and revenue growth.
• Provide recommendations to enhance payment experience and improve overall financial performance.
• Project Management: Lead individual projects from start to finish, including managing timelines, auditing quality/progress to plan, setting priorities, and resolving conflicts with minimal oversight.
• Demonstrate strong ownership and ensure that projects align with broader business and finance goals.
• Automation & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes.
• Drive automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Month-End Close & Reporting: Manage month-end close processes, including the preparation of commentary and analysis on key drivers of financial performance.
• Provide risk and opportunity guidance and present findings to senior management.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support business needs and provide insights to senior management.
• Develop and deliver actionable insights based on data analysis.
