We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Logistics Executive to manage end-to-end shipment execution by coordinating with appointed freight forwarders, managing transportation schedules, tracking shipments, and overseeing documentation.
It focuses on optimizing routes, adhering to Incoterms and customs regulations, and proactively addressing transit issues.
This role is critical to optimizing freight operations, minimizing costs, and maintaining seamless communication with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with freight forwarders and 3PLs to confirm shipment details, pick-up schedules, and required documentation
- Track shipments end-to-end from pickup to final delivery, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines
- Verify all shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Packing List, Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin) in line with Incoterms and regulatory requirements
- Ensure shipping arrangements comply with customs regulations and destination country import/export rules
- Coordinate timely customs clearance and proactively resolve transit delays, demurrage, detention, and damage claims
- Ensure final delivery as per Incoterms and obtain Proof of Delivery (POD).
- Keep Sales, Procurement, and relevant stakeholders updated on real-time shipment status and potential disruptions.
Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
- Minimum
- 4–5 years of UAE experience in a logistics, freight, or supply chain
- coordination role
- within the Freight forwarding/ Oil & Gas Trading industry.
- **ERP**
experience
- is mandatory
- Advanced Excel and logistics system proficiency
- Strong attention to detail with accuracy across all documentation and processes
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making ability to address operational challenges swiftly
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment
- Strategic thinking with the ability to plan and execute freight strategies aligned to business goals.
