Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall operational leadership for the planning and delivery of Dubai Run.
• Manage and direct the appointed mass events delivery agency, ensuring contractual scope, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Oversee coordination with government authorities including RTA, Dubai Police, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee all operational workstreams including route planning, site infrastructure, crowd management, safety planning, and logistics.
• Coordinate closely with Partnership Operations to ensure commercial branding and partner deliverables are integrated seamlessly.
• Act as the primary escalation point for operational risks and issues.
• Lead post-event reporting, reconciliation, and lessons learned. Deliverables/MilestonesMay
• Complete onboarding and formal alignment with the Head of Operations and wider DFC Operations Team.
• Conduct a comprehensive review of previous Dubai Run playbooks, route designs, risk registers, traffic management plans, crowd management strategies, and post-event reports
• Establish the master operational framework, key milestones, governance structure, and authority engagement strategy for Dubai Run.

• Manage on-ground command, real-time issue resolution, and multi-agency stakeholder coordination.
• Oversee decommissioning, route reopening, and site reinstatement.December
• Lead Dubai Run post-event reporting and operational close-out.
• Consolidate agency reports, authority feedback, and operational learnings.
• Document recommendations and formally hand over to the Head of Operations. Candidate ProfileMinimum 8–10 years’ experience delivering large-scale mass participation events.Proven leadership in managing complex, multi-stakeholder sporting events.Strong experience working with government authorities and public safety stakeholders.Excellent decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.Comfortable operating under pressure during live event delivery.
