Senior Estimator

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scopes of work.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
• Prepare and review BOQs and rate analyses.
• Calculate material, labour, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare tender and commercial proposals within required deadlines.
• Identify project exclusions, assumptions, risks, and cost implications.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Projects, and Operations departments.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies or missing information.
• Prepare RFQs, follow up with suppliers and subcontractors, and compare quotations.
• Estimate variations and revised requirements; maintain pricing databases; prepare cost reports; support handover; protect confidential commercial information.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• At least 3–4 years of UAE experience in civil estimation.
• Experience in UAE construction contracting companies is required.
• Strong experience preparing civil construction estimates and tender submissions.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction materials, market rates, supplier pricing, and subcontractor rates.
• Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost estimation.
• Ability to read civil, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Valid UAE Society of Engineers card or membership is mandatory.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.

Pay

• Pay range: AED 5,000–10,000 per month.
