Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Estimation Engineer
to lead estimation activities for structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing tender documents, coordinating bid submissions, and delivering commercially competitive proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
- Review tender drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contract documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs and estimate material, fabrication, welding, painting, galvanizing, transportation, and erection costs.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare technical and commercial bids, pricing schedules, and tender submissions.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and project teams.
- Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
- Attend client meetings and respond to technical and commercial queries.
- Maintain cost databases and support continuous improvement of estimation processes.
- Mentor junior estimators and support project handover after award.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- **10–20 years**
- of experience in structural steel estimation, fabrication, and erection.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, infrastructure, oil & gas, or power projects.
- GCC/UAE experience is preferred.

• AutoCAD, Advanced Excel
- Tekla EPM, MBS, or similar estimation software
- Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills
