KaarTech is hiring multiple Senior Enterprise Data Modelers for a long-term, large-scale enterprise data programme.
The role is for end-to-end enterprise data modeling, not project-level or reporting data modeling.
The job is in Abu Dhabi, UAE; joining is from Chennai or Bengaluru, India.
Responsibilities
- Design and own conceptual, logical, and physical enterprise data models across multiple business domains.
- Adapt and extend industry reference data models to fit client requirements.
- Define modeling standards, naming conventions, and model governance processes.
- Partner with data governance and quality teams on definitions, ownership, lineage, and quality rules.
- Run business and technical stakeholder workshops to agree data definitions and subject areas.
- Review and guide models built by other modelers and delivery teams.
Requirements
- Have 9+ years of data modeling experience, including at least 5 years at enterprise level.
- Have hands-on experience with at least one industry reference model, such as Teradata FSLDM/cLDM, IBM BDW/IIW/IFW/TDW, OFSAA, SAP FSDM, SAS IAA, ACORD, TM Forum SID, HL7 FHIR, FIBO, or similar.
- Have experience with government or public-sector data models, such as national models, ministry or PSU data platforms, NIEM, ISA², or similar.
- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership from governance through physical model implementation.
- Have working knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.
- Use at least one of erwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or Sparx EA at an expert level.
- Have strong communication and workshop facilitation skills.
- Be willing to join from Chennai or Bengaluru and work onsite in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Preferred skills
- DAMA-DMBOK, CDMP, or DCAM knowledge or certification is a plus.
- Experience with Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation, or Purview is preferred.
- Exposure to Data Vault 2.0, dimensional modeling, or cloud data platforms is preferred.
