Senior Engineering Intelligence Analyst

Role Summary

Dashboard Development and Maintenance

• Build and maintain Looker dashboards covering feature delivery predictions, FTE allocation, resource contention, and portfolio health.
• Migrate HTML-based dashboards to the enterprise BI platform while preserving and improving analytical depth.
• Create self-service visualizations and implement alerts and anomaly detection for delivery and resource risks.

Data Engineering and Analysis

• Integrate Jira, Jellyfish, Salesforce, and other systems through data pipelines; use Python and SQL to load data into a central analytics store.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, and monitoring; optimize queries and models for sub-second dashboard response times.
• Manage API limits, authentication, incremental syncs, and error handling.
• Prepare executive-ready analyses, perform ad hoc engineering metrics analysis, and build reusable analytical templates.
• Document data lineage, calculation methods, and dashboard logic.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or related technical analytics.
• Strong SQL, Python data processing, and hands-on Looker skills, including modeling, dashboard design, and performance optimization.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Jira and understanding of software delivery lifecycle, Agile methods, and engineering organizations.
• Strong visualization skills and attention to data quality, accuracy, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jira APIs, Jira Structure, or the Atlassian ecosystem at scale; Jellyfish or similar platforms; Salesforce data extraction; or BigQuery.
• Exposure to DORA and other engineering metrics, HTML/JavaScript, or SaaS and enterprise software environments.
