- 4-8 years of hands ‐ on experience in Mechanical/ Automotive engineering. Working knowledge of HTML, XML publishing, DITA, and structured topic-based authoring Previous experience with single-source authoring, minimalism style authoring, and topic reuse Automotive/dealership experience and/or manufacturing aptitude, experience, or product knowledge Broad knowledge of truck systems and components Strong organizational, schedule management, time management, and reporting skills Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills Ability to work on dynamic projects with minimal guidance Effective interpersonal skills and a strong team player Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and MS Office Suite Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud systems including editing in Adobe Acrobat and Illustrator Demonstrated proactive problem-solving approach Motivated to learn and utilize new software applications Desired Experience: Strong knowledge of technical writing principles and documentation best practices Knowledge of illustration concepts and visual communication techniques Familiarity with documentation standards, templates, and style guides Understanding of content lifecycle, version control, and review workflows Good grasp of grammar, punctuation, and editing practices COMPETENCIES AND BEHAVIORS: Strong decision-making capability. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to influence cross-functional and global teams.
