Location and schedule

• The role is listed for Broomfield, Colorado; Los Angeles, California; and New York City, New York.
• Hybrid schedule: remote Monday and Friday, in-office Tuesday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full-stack design, development, testing, release, and maintenance of a core advertising server and buying platform.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables; translate business requirements into technical designs and project plans.
• Design reliable, maintainable solutions and write production-ready code and unit tests.
• Respond to feature requests, bug reports, performance issues, and ad hoc questions; support production services.
• Collaborate across teams and perform design and code reviews.

Required qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Java back-end development experience and strong understanding of asynchronous programming.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures, including business and technical trade-offs.
• Experience with agile development, Git, a build management system such as Jenkins, and Jira.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, SQL, and table design.
• Ability to context-switch and manage competing priorities.

Preferred experience

• General ad technology experience is nice to have, ideally including production header-bidding technologies.

Compensation

• Base salary is listed as $140,000–$150,000 in California, $130,000–$140,000 in Colorado, and $140,000–$150,000 in New York.
• The role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, equity, and benefits.
• Actual compensation depends on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.
