Senior Engineer I, Electromechanics / Mechanical Design

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering aspects of complex line localization and industrialization projects and align cross-functional stakeholders.
• Coordinate with global hubs on engineering documentation, gate approvals, knowledge transfer, and support.
• Plan projects using work breakdown structures, manage schedules, and monitor KPI achievement.
• Coordinate product specifications, engineering documentation, test plans, certification, qualification, and reliability requirements.
• Support production-line readiness, tooling, process validation, sample builds, validation, and testing.
• Prepare stage-review materials, contribute to gate reviews, and define industrial or supply-chain scenarios.
• Maintain drawings, bills of materials, design guides, and other product documentation.
• Report status and risks, troubleshoot design failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a similar industry.
• Experience with product lifecycle, design and development, production, costing, quality, or value engineering.
• Project management knowledge and expertise in CAD tools such as PDM and Creo, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, materials selection, industrial costing, and supply-chain optimization.
• Communication and presentation skills, including technical presentations and status reports.
• Track record in product launches, quality value engineering, customization, localization, or product transfer projects.

Preferred experience and skills

• PMP, dFSR, or quality-tool certifications are desired.
• Low-voltage domain experience is preferred; examples include ACB, MCCB, MCB, CTR components, busways, and LV panels.
• Deep knowledge of two or more listed low-voltage products is desirable.
• Experience with Schneider Electric tools and processes such as PDM, Symphony, MCSV, and 2D/3D drawing release is an added advantage.
