Lead technical delivery of electrical works across real estate development, facility management, and new solar PV projects.
The project lifecycle includes feasibility, design and pricing, site supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover.
The role includes managing technical teams and subcontractors, quantity take-off, drawing review, load calculation and distribution, and resolving execution issues.
Project delivery and site supervision
- Manage electrical works from site inspection and review of scope, drawings, and specifications through execution, commissioning, and handover.
- Prepare execution plans and define technical requirements.
- Supervise subcontractors and technical teams, allocate work, and monitor quality, cost, and schedule progress.
- Prepare and review SLDs, shop drawings, and as-built drawings; calculate loads and size cables, breakers, protection, and earthing systems.
- Conduct quantity take-offs; prepare and review BOQs; verify executed quantities, variations, and payment application technical content.
- Support tendering and pricing and evaluate subcontractor and supplier offers.
- Review material submittals and method statements, resolve technical queries and site clashes, and coordinate approvals with clients, consultants, and authorities.
Electrical systems and solar PV
- Oversee operation, maintenance, and upgrades of electrical systems across the property portfolio.
- Analyze recurring faults, assess renovation and upgrade needs, and propose reliability and energy-efficiency improvements.
- Conduct solar PV feasibility studies, including load assessment and energy yield estimation.
- Design and review PV system components, drawings, and quantities; supervise installation and grid connection in line with KAHRAMAA regulations.
- Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning, and acceptance; close snag items and complete handover documentation.
- Contribute to meeting technical requirements for the company's qualification to execute solar PV projects.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and valid UPDA/MMUP Grade A registration.
- More than 10 years of total experience is preferred, including experience in Qatar.
- Hands-on electrical project management experience covering site execution, quantity take-off, drawing review, load calculation and distribution, subcontractor management, and technical problem-solving.
- Documented experience on at least two solar PV projects within the past year and eligibility to qualify as a Senior PV Engineer with KAHRAMAA.
- Completion of KAHRAMAA training and passing its examinations is prioritized.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one solar design software, such as PVsyst or HelioScope.
- ETAP and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) experience is an advantage.
- Strong technical report writing, client and consultant communication, and site team leadership skills.
- At least 1 year of Solar PV experience is required.
- Doha location is required.
Pay
- Pay starts at QAR 15,000 per month.
