SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER / MEP TEAM LEADER

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electrical/MEP engineering and site team.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and monitor electrical works from execution through testing and handover.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, authorities, subcontractors, and other MEP disciplines.
• Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, inspections, and final handover.
• Manage DEWA inspections, approvals, connections, and handover requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, and other relevant UAE authority requirements.
• Monitor progress, manpower, materials, and technical issues; lead delivery to required time, quality, and safety standards.
• Attend technical meetings and coordinate with consultants and project management teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of UAE experience; main contracting company experience is preferred.
• Strong experience in MEP construction and site management, including leading an Electrical/MEP team.
• Strong knowledge of DEWA requirements, inspections, and handover procedures; Dubai Municipality regulations and UAE electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with authority approvals, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Strong knowledge of LV systems, MDB/SMDB/DB, lighting, power, emergency systems, earthing, fire alarm, ELV, and related MEP services.
• Ability to read and review electrical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Coordination, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities and priorities.

Pay

• AED 12,000–18,000 per month.

• Work is in person in Dubai, UAE.
