Role Purpose
To prepare, review, and coordinate infrastructure, roads, earthworks, and marine works drawings, ensuring accuracy, compliance with specifications, and timely submission for approvals.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and details for civil and infrastructure works
- Coordinate with engineers and subcontractors for drawing requirements.
- Review IFC drawings and prepare RFIs for discrepancies.
- Ensure drawings meet project specifications and authority requirements.
- Train and mentor junior draftsmen.
- Maintain drawing records and ensure timely submissions.
- Review utility layouts and identify clashes between wet and dry utilities prior to submission and construction.
- Lead preparation and quality review of shop drawings, coordination drawings, authority submissions and as-built documentation.
- Support engineering teams in quantity take-offs and drawing-based quantity verification.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Diploma in Civil Drafting or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in roads, utilities and infrastructure projects including sewer, storm water, potable water, irrigation, telecom, street lighting and utility corridors. Strong knowledge of CAD standards and project specifications.
- Leadership skills for mentoring junior staff.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D including corridors, alignments, profiles, surfaces, grading and utility networks.
- Experience in Navisworks and BIM coordination processes, including federated model reviews and clash detection. (if applicable)
