Job Description
As a Structural Draftsman, you will work closely with structural engineers, project managers, and site teams to prepare and revise structural shop drawings in line with approved designs and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed structural shop drawings based on IFC drawings and design specifications.
- Coordinating structural drawings with architectural and MEP disciplines to avoid clashes.
- Preparing bar bending schedules (BBS) and reinforcement detailing.
- Incorporating consultant comments and revising drawings accordingly.
- Supporting the submission process for approvals and responding to technical queries.
- Assisting site teams with drawing clarifications and updates as required.
- Maintaining organized documentation of all drawings and revisions.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience within contracting environment in the UAE.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (knowledge of Revit Structure is an advantage).
- Solid understanding of structural detailing and reinforcement drawings.
- Good coordination skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple drawing packages.
