World Wide Technology provides AI, digital, cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure solutions to enterprise, service provider, and public sector clients.

The Internal WWT IT team manages company technology infrastructure and support.

The IT AI Center of Excellence drives AI strategy, platform management, enablement, and adoption across WWT.

Role Overview

The AI COE Developer builds software in an agile environment using programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

The role supports foundational generative AI services that help teams solve business problems at scale.

What You Will Do

  • Design and improve a pro-code agentic framework powering Atom AI and other business use cases.
  • Build and evolve the Atom AI Portal for discovering, accessing, and launching vetted AI assets.
  • Partner with delivery teams and stakeholders to bring an AI-first mentality to solutioning.
  • Further adoption of AI platforms across WWT.
  • Build scalable, cost-effective software using web, data, and AI technologies.
  • Evaluate AI tools, models, and frameworks and promote responsible AI practices.
  • Mentor team members, lead complex assignments, write maintainable code, and communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, a technical-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing distributed or scalable systems.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C++.
  • Proficiency developing and consuming APIs.
  • Experience with the OpenAI SDK and AI frameworks.
  • Understanding of LLMs, models, RAG, agents, and AI solution integration.
  • Experience shipping an AI-driven application to production.
  • Familiarity with coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Claude Code, or Cursor.

Additional Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Glean is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and their AI services is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, receive feedback, and mentor developers.

Compensation

  • The estimated base pay range is $106,400 to $159,600 annually.
  • Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, skills, performance, licensure, certification, and business needs.
  • Some positions may qualify for variable incentive compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
