Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and database security, along with the ability to work in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments
• Ensure high performance, availability, and security of database systems
• Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions
• Perform regular database backups, restores, and recovery procedures
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity planning
• Troubleshoot database issues, bottlenecks, and system failures
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and configuration improvements
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patch management
• Implement and enforce database standards, policies, and best practices
• Collaborate with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for system support and enhancements
• Maintain documentation for database architecture, processes, and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 10+ years of overall experience in database administration
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Strong expertise in HA/DR configurations (Always On, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication)
• Experience in database clustering, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Proven experience handling large-scale, mission-critical databases
• Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Azure Administrator Associate are preferred
• Knowledge of Oracle Database Administration is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills in English
