Seeking a highly experienced Oracle Database Administrator with 10+ years of hands-on expertise managing mission-critical Oracle environments.
The role supports high-volume OLTP and Data Warehouse platforms and requires strong database architecture knowledge and independent troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities
- Administer Oracle databases and Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN and Data Guard using Broker.
- Monitor, diagnose and tune database, SQL and system performance in OLTP and Data Warehouse environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues, restore service, identify root causes and implement preventive actions.
- Manage Flashback, partitioning, indexes, tables, statistics and database maintenance.
- Perform patching, upgrades, migrations, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery validation.
- Automate DBA activities; review architecture and recommend availability, scalability, resilience and performance improvements.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure and engineering teams during incidents, changes and planned maintenance.
Required skills and experience
- 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration in large enterprise production environments.
- Hands-on Oracle RAC, Data Guard Broker, Flashback, RMAN, ASM and Oracle Enterprise Manager experience.
- Advanced tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, execution plans and wait-event analysis.
- Experience with high-volume OLTP and large Data Warehouse databases.
- Strong understanding of Oracle architecture, internals, high availability and recovery.
- Expertise in partitioning, indexing, table maintenance, statistics and space management.
- Experience in Oracle patching, automation and technical root cause analysis; able to take end-to-end ownership and resolve issues independently.
