Manage mission-critical Oracle environments, including high-volume OLTP and data warehouse platforms.
The position requires independent troubleshooting and strong database architecture knowledge.
Key responsibilities
- Administer Oracle databases, RAC, ASM, RMAN, and Data Guard Broker.
- Monitor and tune database, SQL, and system performance across OLTP and data warehouse environments.
- Resolve complex production issues, restore services, determine root causes, and implement preventive actions.
- Manage Flashback, partitioning, indexes, tables, statistics, and database maintenance.
- Carry out patching, upgrades, migrations, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery validation.
- Automate DBA activities with Shell, SQL, PL/SQL, or relevant tools; review architecture and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and engineering teams during incidents, changes, and maintenance.
Required experience and expertise
- At least 10 years of Oracle Database Administration experience in large enterprise production environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard Broker, Flashback, RMAN, ASM, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Advanced tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, execution plans, and wait-event analysis.
- Experience with high-volume OLTP and large data warehouse databases.
- Knowledge of Oracle architecture and internals, high availability, recovery, partitioning, indexing, maintenance, statistics, and space management.
- Proven Oracle patching, automation, and root cause analysis experience; able to take ownership and work independently.
