Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), advanced analytics, and data-driven decision support.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting strategic and operational decision-making within a government entity by transforming complex data into actionable insights.
This role requires a professional who can combine technical excellence with strong business understanding, stakeholder engagement, and governance awareness in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI models to support policy and operational decision-making.
- Analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to improve organizational performance and service delivery.
- Translate technical findings into clear business recommendations for executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build dashboards, reporting tools, and decision-support frameworks.
- Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and senior government stakeholders to define analytical requirements and priorities.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, privacy, and compliance with government regulations and governance frameworks.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative applications relevant to public sector operations.
- Support the implementation of responsible and ethical AI practices.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of a data-driven culture across the organization.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Preferred Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in data science, analytics, or AI-related roles.
- Proven experience developing machine learning and AI solutions in enterprise or government environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and cloud-based AI platforms.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, NLP, and optimization techniques.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with data governance, cybersecurity, and data privacy standards
