About The Role (Qatari Nationals Only)

• As a Senior Data Science Analyst, you will be responsible to lead a team of analysts to design and build analytics methodologies, solutions and products to deliver value where data is the basis for solutions.
• Balance numerous facets of data including, for example, technical distinctions across sets of data, maths and statics, software such as machine learning and connect them to business context and value by developing strategies and processes.
• Other key responsibilities are:
• Plans strategies to operationalize revenue managements goals of applying more data, science and technology to deliver results to meet revenue targets including RASK.
• Leads a team of analysts to deliver reliable, on time, revenue management and commercial data to reduce the time between a data point being generated and its usefulness to the business. Build and execute solid analytics work plans, gather and organize large and complex data sets, perform relevant analysis including data exploration and data modelling. Build and track a list of data sources available within the company and understand interrelations between different datasets to drive value.
• Translates sophisticated data science concepts in an understandable and meaningful manner to help the business adopt and transform.
• Works with traditional revenue management data sources including for example pricing, inventory and market share, bringing skills in computer science, artificial intelligence statistics and machine learning to deliver solutions to deliver revenue.
• Interprets the requirements of Revenue Management and other stakeholders, analysts and specialists to develop efficient and reliable solutions that to improve the quality of machine and analyst decisions to delivery revenue
• Collaborate with IT stakeholders, data analysts lead IT investigations from within the Organisation to create synergies and, where possible and applicable, adopt common tools and technologies to analyse digital value
• Compile statistical/supporting data to communicate findings, critical information and insights to business and make relevant recommendations to adapt existing business strategies.
• Provide comprehensive reports with recommendation for management review and decision making. Working with IT and the Business, assesses and report on the benefits of data science tools, solutions and results to contribute to future investment or business case decisions.
• Use a combined knowledge of computer science and applications, modelling, statistics, analytics and maths in order to propose solutions and strategies to new data processing challenges. Evaluate and problem solve through data analysis by working closely with colleagues to identify data related problems and mend where necessary.
• Identify challenges and opportunities gained from the analysis and conclude cases by proposing business improvement solutions. Use and apply modern development tools and write code to deliver data enabled solutions that drive personalization.
• Seeks improvements in data storage and processing and contributes to implementation plans for data lake and cloud storage solutions.
• Understands Data Science as an evolving field, working with departmental leadership to continuously seek out new solutions to deliver a competitive advantage.
• Develops constructive and collaborative relationships with other areas of Commercial and IT to supports the vision to deliver 5 star connections with our customers every time
• Work closely with Senior Data Science Analysts to build solutions.
• As a problem solver, works with other RM team members to understand business challenges, applying analytical curiosity to go beyond immediate requirements to find undiscovered insights that, through the use of data will deliver on the commercial and revenue management vision.
• Guide the RM organization towards to ultimate goal of increased revenue by supporting the managers with convincing evidence.

About You

• We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Revenue Management Team.
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in related disciplines such as Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science or Engineering is essential
• 6+ years of job-related experience
• Expert understanding of statistics, operations research, forecasting and optimization methods
• Very good understanding of the airline business process. This includes Network Planning and Scheduling, e-commerce, Marketing and Sales
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Command of English language
• Expert understanding of IT related topics.
