Senior Data Engineer, Proprietary Research

Team and role

Data and software engineering

• Design, build, and launch end-to-end business solutions, including data pipelines, products, and tools.
• Develop big data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and trend creation to deliver AI-ready data assets and products.
• Create reusable software components, libraries, and APIs for experimentation and production deployment.

Infrastructure, governance, and reliability

• Implement data quality, lineage, and governance controls to keep datasets reliable, auditable, and compliant.
• Build scalable AI-native cloud infrastructure using distributed systems techniques.
• Benchmark and iteratively improve system performance, cost, and reliability.

Required experience

• Have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related field, including 2+ years of strong Python development.
• Have experience with system design, leading multi-person development efforts, and distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark.
• Have experience building scalable APIs and backend-focused software applications.
• Have experience with cloud platforms for data storage and compute, such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, and orchestration technologies such as Airflow.

Preferred technologies and interests

• Knowledge of LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks, embedding models, and vector or graph databases is a plus.
• Stay current with AI advancements and translate emerging techniques into practical applications.
