We are working with a highly innovative technology business who are looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to support the continued expansion of its data and machine learning capabilities.
This opportunity sits within a fast paced engineering environment focused on building scalable, high-performance platforms used across advanced technology and security-focused products.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing robust data solutions that enable analytics, operational reporting, and AI-driven initiatives across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve large-scale data pipelines capable of handling high-volume datasets
- Support the architecture and optimisation of modern data platforms and storage environments
- Work with structured and unstructured data from a variety of internal and external sources
- Build efficient frameworks for real-time and batch data processing
- Maintain data reliability, consistency, and overall platform performance
- Partner with software engineers, data scientists, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
- Identify and resolve issues across data workflows and production environments
- Contribute to best practices around data security, governance, and infrastructure standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in Data Engineering within a scalable technology-driven environment
- Strong knowledge of distributed data processing tools such as Apache Spark
- Experience working with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB
- Exposure to modern data lake or large-scale storage technologies
- Strong understanding of data architecture, optimisation, and performance tuning
- Comfortable working across cloud-based or enterprise data ecosystems
