The Senior Credit Risk Analyst supports oversight of first-line credit risk management, product standards, portfolio risk analysis, and risk reporting.
The role supports the Senior Credit Risk Manager with cost-of-risk development and credit scoring strategies for product portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Oversee first-line credit risk management activity and provide portfolio risk updates to committees.
- Identify trends, insights, and material risk concentrations through regular credit risk reporting.
- Support second-line oversight committees, credit strategy changes, lending and arrears policy analysis, and new product monitoring.
- Build portfolio and arrears forecasts and escalate material risks as required.
- Support cost-of-risk analysis and credit scoring strategies.
- Develop affordability, valuation, and credit strategies.
- Maintain governance procedures and records and build strong stakeholder relationships.
Essential qualifications
- Numerical degree, strong analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in a credit risk environment.
- Grounding in quantitative data analysis and experience using complex data.
- Strong SQL skills and advanced Excel skills.
- Understanding of fundamental credit risk management and secured lending portfolio risk.
