Role Overview
Manage construction contracts from negotiation through closeout and support project continuity, cost control, compliance, and contractual performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead contract management from initial negotiations through final closeout.
- Prepare, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and amendments for construction supervision projects.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and legal requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks and manage potential disputes.
- Monitor project budgets and costs in relation to contract agreements.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and serve as the main contractual point of contact.
- Lead negotiations with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Develop procurement strategies and evaluate bids.
- Maintain documentation for contracts, change orders, variations, and extensions.
- Supervise and mentor junior contract administrators and provide process training.
- Oversee change orders, variations, claims, and their impacts on project scope, cost, and timeline.
- Monitor contractor performance against contract terms and project milestones.
Role Requirements
- Knowledge of contractual obligations, legal requirements, and applicable local, regional, and international regulations.
- Ability to negotiate and settle claims arising from contractual disputes or scope changes.
- Ability to assess contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ability to supervise and mentor contract administrators and related staff.
