Senior Contracts Administrator

You will report to the Finance Manager and own the contract lifecycle on your project, from subcontract negotiation to day-to-day administration. Protect ACCIONA’s rights, manage variations and claims, and raise commercial risk early. You will work with operations, finance and legal, and build supplier relationships that improve quality and value. You will also prepare monthly project economic reports and help improve the procurement and commercial process. The role gives you ownership of commercial outcomes and broad exposure to tendering, procurement and risk.

Key accountabilities

Negotiate, award and execute subcontracts and other significant procurement packages

Administer subcontracts day to day to protect ACCIONA’s rights and obligations

Manage variations, claims and contract documentation

Identify, log and reduce contract and supply chain risks

Prepare tender documents and evaluate proposals for value for money outcomes

Build supplier and stakeholder relationships that improve quality and value

Control costs, forecast and report monthly on project economic performance

Required Skills and Competencies

Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Business, or a related discipline

5+ years’ experience in a Contracts Administrator, Commercial Administrator or similar contract management role

Experience managing contracts within construction, engineering, marine, resources, or infrastructure projects

Demonstrated experience administering subcontractor agreements and project contracts, and managing variations, claims and contract documentation

Ability to obtain a successful National Crime Check and Pre-employment Medical
