The Senior Contracts Engineer manages all contractual and commercial aspects of projects from procurement through execution.
Acting as the developer-side authority, you will protect and optimize the companies contractual position by overseeing contract administration, variation management, claims assessment, and dispute avoidance.
Responsibilities
- **Contract Administration**
- : Administer FIDIC-based construction contracts, ensure compliance with timelines/notices, and provide contractual guidance to project teams
- **Procurement & Formation**
- : Support tender and contract document preparation, evaluate contractor submissions, identify risks/gaps, and assist in contract negotiations
- **Change Management**
- : Review, evaluate, and process variation orders and change requests in line with governance procedures; maintain variation and cost-impact registers
- **Claims & Disputes**
- : Assess contractor claims (EOT, cost, disruption), evaluate entitlements, and lead responses and negotiation strategies to minimize disputes
- **Risk & Reporting**
- : Identify commercial risks, provide early warnings on potential breaches or delays, and prepare regular compliance and status reports for management
- **Team Coordination**
- : Partner with Project Managers, Planning/Cost Engineers, and Consultants to align project execution with contractual and commercial strategies
Qualifications

- n: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management
- **Experienc**
- e: 15+ years in contract administration and commercial management, specifically withi
- n UAE constructi
- on (Dubai preferred) for developers, consultants, or Tier-1 contractor
