JOB TITLE: SENIOR COMPLETIONS & WELL TESTING ENGINEER

This is a 12-month contract position based in Sharjah on a 28/28 rotation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute completion, well testing, intervention, workover, and well re-entry programmes.
  • Prepare operational procedures, programme amendments, and Management of Change (MOC) documentation.
  • Manage operational planning, AFE preparation, cost tracking, and performance monitoring.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during field operations.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, industry standards, and operational procedures.
  • Manage contractors and service providers to deliver safe and efficient operations.
  • Prepare end-of-well reports, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support competency development within the team.
  • Participate in tender evaluations, contract management, and technical reviews.

Essential Qualifications And Skills

  • Minimum 20 years' experience in completions, well testing, well intervention, and workover operations within the oil & gas industry.
  • Strong experience in both onshore and offshore operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of completion design, well testing, perforating, DSTs, well interventions, workovers, and well integrity operations.
  • Experience with coiled tubing, slickline, e-line, hydraulic workover units (HWU), snubbing, and related well services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Valid IWCF Level 4 Well Intervention & Pressure Control Certification.
  • Valid OPITO H2S Certification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, project management, and budgeting skills.
  • Middle East experience is highly desirable.
