This senior role focuses on converting Health & Life new business opportunities through business partners, brokers and a variety of corporate engagements/channels.
What You Do
- Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Drive new business sales and premium growth across the corporate segment (100+ employees) within the MEA region.
- Develop and execute a new business sales strategy targeting corporates primarily through broker‑led engagement.
- Provide broker training and engagement focused on large corporate new business development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior brokers and corporate decision‑makers across MEA.
- Manage and respond to large corporate tenders, RFPs, and broker submissions.
- Lead the end‑to‑end new business sales cycle, from opportunity identification through quotation, negotiation, closure and implementation.
- Deliver high‑impact sales presentations articulating products, pricing rationale, and value proposition.
- Participate, coordinate and manage complex client pitches, beauty parades, and finalist presentations for corporate prospects.
- Review claims experience analysis, including loss ratios, utilisation patterns, and risk profiling, to support dialogue with pricing and commercial positioning.
- Collaborate closely with underwriting, pricing, actuarial, and medical teams to develop commercially viable and profitable proposals.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
- Monitor MEA market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.
- Contribute market insights to product, pricing, and proposition development.
- Travel across MEA as required.
Who You Are
- To be successful in this position you will ideally have the following skills / experience:
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in insurance sales or business development with a strong new business focus.
- Proven success in closing large corporate accounts (100+ employees) within MEA.
- Demonstrate experience in pitch-planning and delivering beauty parades, including finalist presentations.
- Strong understanding of claims experience, loss ratios, underwriting principles, and premium development.
- Ability to build out and defend premium using data‑driven, consultative sales techniques.
- Established senior‑level broker and corporate relationships across MEA.
- Excellent executive‑level negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and narrative‑building capability.
- Commercially astute, results‑driven, and comfortable in a target‑oriented environment.
