About this role:

BIM Strategy & Implementation

Lead the development and execution of BIM strategies specific to landscaping, including hardscape, softscape, irrigation, and infrastructure integration.

Establish and maintain BIM standards, templates, naming conventions, and protocols aligned with project and client requirements.

Drive the adoption of BIM across all design and engineering functions within the organization.

Model Management & Coordination

Oversee the creation, review, and validation of 3D models and project data for landscaping elements (grading, planting, irrigation systems, site structures, etc.).

Ensure coordination of BIM models across disciplines including architecture, civil, MEP, and landscaping to prevent design clashes and ensure constructability.

Conduct clash detection and resolution exercises using tools like Navisworks, Revit, Civil 3D, or InfraWorks.

Quality Control & Compliance

Enforce quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure model accuracy, LOD (Level of Development), and data integrity.

Monitor BIM execution plans and ensure all stakeholders comply with agreed modeling and documentation standards.

Ensure BIM deliverables meet local regulations, project specifications, and international BIM guidelines (e.g., ISO 19650).

Collaboration & Stakeholder Coordination

Collaborate with project managers, landscape architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate BIM workflows into all project phases.

Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and consultants regarding BIM-related issues and expectations.

Attend coordination and design review meetings and present model-based updates or progress reports.

Project Support & Lifecycle Management

Support the entire project lifecycle—from conceptual design through construction documentation to as-built

modelling and facility handover.

Contribute to the development of digital twins or asset information models for post-construction maintenance planning.

Assist in quantification, cost estimation, and visual simulations using BIM data.

Training, Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and train BIM specialists, modelers, and CAD technicians within the organization.

Develop and deliver internal workshops, onboarding sessions, and technical support for BIM tools and processes.

Promote innovation and continuous improvement in digital project delivery and technology usage.

Technology & Tools Management

Manage BIM software platforms including Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks, and related plugins or visualization tools.

Coordinate with IT and software providers to ensure tools are up-to-date and appropriately licensed.

Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as GIS-BIM integration, drone mapping, VR/AR, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.

Information Security responsibilities:

• Ensure whoever handles sensitive company information have taken the Security Awareness Training
• Know how to report a security incident (to IT ServiceDesk or InfoSec).
• Not Disable his/her OS firewall and/or Antivirus
• Restrict use to authorized purposes, Protect access accounts, privileges and associated passwords.
• Accept accountability of his/her individual user accounts, and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Design, or a related discipline is required.
• A Master’s degree in BIM Management, Digital Construction, or Construction Management is preferred.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in BIM management, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or lead BIM role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing BIM for landscape and infrastructure projects, including large-scale urban development, parks, public realm, and hardscape/softscape coordination.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks, and InfraWorks
• Skilled in using BIM 360, Dynamo, Enscape, Twinmotion, or similar visualization and automation tools
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling, 4D scheduling, 5D cost estimation, and as-built modeling
• Familiarity with GIS-BIM integration and geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
• Experience with clash detection, data coordination, and LOD (Level of Development) specification
• Understanding of cloud-based collaboration platforms and CDEs (Common Data Environments)
• Expertise in developing and managing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and Model Production Delivery Tables (MPDTs)
• Ability to align BIM processes with project milestones, design stages, and contract deliverables
• Strong understanding of project lifecycles in landscape architecture, from concept through to handover
• Skilled in supporting construction phasing, tender documentation, and visual presentations using BIM data
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to lead BIM coordination meetings, workshops, and technical presentations
• Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate complex digital processes in a clear, practical manner
• Skilled in handling feedback and translating design intent into digital models effectively
• Proven ability to lead and mentor BIM specialists, modelers, and technicians
• Capable of developing training programs, BIM manuals, and digital standards for internal teams
• Strong leadership presence with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and innovation
• Strong analytical skills for resolving modeling and coordination issues
• Ability to conduct model audits, data quality checks, and performance reviews
