The Senior Backend Engineer role focuses on backend services and systems using Go.
Location and work arrangement
- The role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and is on-site.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Go.
- Develop and improve microservices for orders, payments, logistics, and inventory.
- Build RESTful and gRPC APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases and queries.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Work with frontend, mobile, and DevOps teams.
- Contribute to code reviews and backend architecture decisions.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Go, including concurrency.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Understanding of distributed systems and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and focus on clean, maintainable code.
