Senior Automation Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design automation architecture to scale the automation footprint by 10X.
• Build and maintain a large portfolio of bots and workflows sustainably.
• Build agents and agentic AI for business use cases.
• Measure automation business impact before and after deployment.
• Build stakeholder relationships and manage stakeholder experience across the bot lifecycle.
• Manage the end-to-end bot lifecycle from requirements gathering through hypercare and support.
• Analyze, design, develop, implement, and troubleshoot bots for business functions.
• Manage bot development, deployment, migration, platform administration, standards, and best practices.
• Manage bot migrations to newer software versions or infrastructure.
• Build bots that can operate 24/7 with minimal human intervention.
• Follow SDLC and change management, and document RPA procedures and designs for IT and infosec compliance.
• Track bot velocity, maintenance effort, KPIs, and business impact.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall IT experience.
• At least 4 years of hands-on Automation Anywhere A360 and Microsoft Power Platform experience designing, building, and maintaining bots.
• Experience with infrastructure design and maintenance.
• Programming experience in Java, Python, or .NET, along with SQL and VBScript.
• Experience building bots for 4-6 complex processes and managing their end-to-end lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to automate API, web, and Windows-based applications and build attended and unattended bots.
• Ability to create solution design documents from process definition documents or process recordings.
• Exposure to Azure Logic Apps and Cognitive Services.
• Ability to conduct process discovery workshops and team knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Intelligent agentic automation and AI/ML skills are a plus.
• Working experience with CRMs and Microsoft tools is desirable.
