Job Title

Senior Associate (for lawyers) or Senior Manager UAE Tax Practice (for non-lawyers)

Tax

Our global Tax team leads on cross-jurisdictional transactions, working typically for large corporations, institutional investors and fund managers.

We have one of the largest Tax teams of any international law firm with over 130 lawyers, economists and accountants, based across the UK, the US, South America, Europe and the Middle East.

We offer both a stand-alone tax advisory service and transactional tax support on transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, financings, real estate and investment funds.

We help clients resolve disputes with the tax authorities and are one of only a few global law firms to offer both specialist tax dispute resolution expertise and transfer pricing services.

Working Hours

40 hours per week, 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Additional hours may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location or services.

All members of the firm participate in our Responsible Business program.

Technical Ability

  • Possesses good working knowledge and understanding of the tax principles associated with UAE tax matters, both within the UAE and on cross-border transactions involving the UAE; proactively develops this knowledge further.
  • Shows awareness of tax developments affecting any specialist areas and regularly attends appropriate training sessions.

Person Specification

We have openings for first rate tax professionals (lawyers or accountants) with 6 years or more of post-qualification experience.

Experience gained within a top tier firm is preferred.

It is essential that the candidate has a strong academic background, with excellent written communication and drafting skills.

The successful candidate will also have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team.
