Role Overview

Manage and optimize the enterprise software asset portfolio, with focus on licensing, compliance, and cost optimization.

Report to the IT Manager, Software Asset Management.

Partner with IT, Procurement, Finance, Security, and Application teams on license governance.

Software Asset Management Responsibilities

  • Manage software entitlements, lifecycle, and license allocation across enterprise applications.
  • Reconcile software licenses to determine compliance positions.
  • Monitor usage and identify reclamation and optimization opportunities.
  • Support renewals, true-ups, software audits, compliance reporting, and remediation.
  • Maintain accurate software asset records and contract data.
  • Support software request fulfillment and governance workflows.

Platforms, Reporting, and Governance

  • Administer ServiceNow SAM Pro software models, entitlements, and reconciliation.
  • Optimize SaaS and on-premises license usage.
  • Provide SAP and Oracle licensing expertise and support contract alignment.
  • Develop compliance, usage, cost analysis, savings, and optimization reports.
  • Contribute to dashboards and ITAM analytics.
  • Enforce software policies and governance standards and improve SAM processes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and Oracle licensing models.
  • Experience with compliance, audits, and reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
  • Familiarity with SaaS licensing, including Microsoft and Adobe.
  • Knowledge of ITAM/SAM best practices.
  • IAITAM or ITIL certification.
