Role overview

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains data pipelines, transformations, and data products using Microsoft Fabric, Python, SQL, and cloud-native services.
• Collaborates with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand processes, and translate needs into technical solutions.
• Performs data discovery, profiling, validation, and quality assessment.
• Supports reporting, analytics, and AI use cases and contributes to design workshops, documentation, and client presentations.
• Troubleshoots and optimizes data workflows for performance and reliability.
• Works with architects and senior team members on governance, security, and data-management practices; adopts emerging data, analytics, and AI technologies.

Skills and experience

• Requires 3–6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, or related fields.
• Requires hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience, strong Python programming, strong SQL, and experience with relational and analytical data platforms.
• Requires experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations.
• Requires understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, dimensional modeling, and modern analytics architectures.
• Requires analytical and problem-solving ability, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance.

Compensation

• The stated base pay range for British Columbia and Ontario is CAD 76,250–90,600; compensation varies based on factors including location, role, skills, and experience.
• The recruiting effort is intended to fill a newly created position.
