  • Translate regulatory and market requirements into analytical policy and product recommendations with Product, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Oversee analytical frameworks and launch or market-entry work aligned with risk appetite, operational capabilities, and local regulations.
  • Engage external merchants, vendors, and partners; build repeatable AI-assisted workflows and mentor junior analysts.

What we look for

  • 2–5 years in an analytically driven consumer lending, credit, or fintech role, using advanced analytics to develop and optimize business strategies.
  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Expertise in data mining, data visualization, and statistical modeling; experience applying machine learning to business or risk problems.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of consumer lending regulations, regional markets, and economic conditions affecting policy and growth.
  • Ability to turn complex regulatory and economic insights into strategies and influence senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pay

  • Canadian base pay is CAD 112,000–172,000 per year; new employees typically start at the beginning of the pay range.
  • Total compensation may include equity, benefits, and monthly spending stipends.

Workplace

  • Affirm describes itself as remote-first; most roles can be performed from almost anywhere within the country of employment.
  • Some roles may occasionally require office attendance, while a few are office-based; new hires are invited to in-person onboarding.

Benefits

  • Benefits include employer-paid health coverage, spending stipends, flexible time off, holidays, and an employee stock purchase plan.
