Role overview

Accounting close and complex work

• Own complex journal entries, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and audit support.
• Review team reconciliations and supporting schedules, investigate unusual items, and prepare complete close work for Controller review.
• Investigate complex accounting questions and root causes, recommend resolutions, and strengthen close processes and controls.
• Contribute to the goal of a five-business-day close.

Revenue and financial insight

• Provide senior review of revenue recognition, deferred revenue, reconciliations, and related reporting.
• Connect invoicing, receivables, and recurring revenue schedules with accounting records; investigate discrepancies and unusual transactions.
• Prepare and reconcile recurring revenue metrics and support accurate financial and business reporting.
• Contribute accounting insight to financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting; support short-term cash forecasting and cash flow variance analysis.

Systems and process improvement

• Contribute to a new accounting platform transition by defining requirements, improving workflows, validating data, testing, and supporting migration.
• Identify recurring problems and manual work and develop practical process, control, documentation, and automation improvements.
• Share knowledge and help strengthen the accounting team and ways of working.

Requirements and working style

• Able to own complex accounting work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Experience spanning accounting close, reporting, revenue, reconciliations, and audit readiness.
• Able to investigate root causes, resolve complex issues, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Work closely with the Controller and accounting teammates.
