About the Role

What You Will Do

• Own the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and maintaining a clean trial balance every month.
• Manage the full accounts receivable and accounts payable cycle in Zoho Books, including invoicing, collections, vendor bills, and payment runs.
• Handle SaaS revenue recognition in line with IFRS 15, including deferred revenue schedules, prorations, upgrades, downgrades, and refunds.
• Ensure full KSA VAT compliance, including output/input VAT, reverse charge mechanism, zero-rated exports, and timely VAT return filing with ZATCA.
• Prepare and file withholding tax returns on payments to non-resident vendors.
• Run payroll, GOSI, WPS, and end-of-service calculations for KSA employees through Zoho Payroll.
• Prepare monthly management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and SaaS metrics such as MRR, ARR, gross margin, burn, and runway.
• Review vendor invoices, expense claims, purchase records, and payment requests for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain accurate financial records, supporting schedules, bank reconciliations, and cash flow tracking.
• Lead annual audit preparation and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ZATCA inspectors.
• Coordinate with external accountants, banks, auditors, and government platforms when required.
• Continuously improve the chart of accounts, automation rules, accounting workflows, documentation, controls, and financial reporting discipline in Zoho.

Qualifications

• At least five years of hands-on accounting experience, with at least two years inside KSA handling VAT and ZATCA filings end-to-end.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• SOCPA certification or progress toward it is strongly preferred; CPA, CMA, or ACCA are also welcome.
• Deep practical experience using Zoho Books beyond data entry, including chart of accounts design, automation rules, banking rules, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of KSA VAT law, ZATCA e-invoicing Phase One and Phase Two, and KSA withholding tax rules.
• Comfortable with IFRS, especially IFRS fifteen for revenue recognition and IFRS sixteen for leases.
• Hands-on experience with Saudi payroll, including GOSI, WPS through Mudad, Saudization through Nitaqat, and end-of-service benefits under KSA Labor Law.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and monthly closing processes.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, with the ability to build clear reports, schedules, and financial tracking files.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, written and spoken. Arabic is required for ZATCA correspondence, audit work, and KSA government portals.
• Currently based in KSA, or willing to relocate to KSA, with the legal right to work on-site.
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, confidential, and able to own the books end-to-end with minimal supervision.
