Hybrid Senior Accountant role with a growing organization in Montgomery County.
The role is aimed at candidates with a strong background in public audit and assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, financial reports, and account reconciliations for complex areas.
- Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain internal controls supporting SOX requirements.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide explanations to stakeholders.
- Assist with external audits and compile schedules and documentation.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support operational data requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 6+ years of accounting experience; public audit and assurance background is ideal.
- Strong Excel skills required; ERP system experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPA certification or active pursuit is preferred.
- Construction, project-based, or similar industry experience is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation range: $80,000 to $90,000.
- Full-time benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- PTO accrues over time; paid sick leave is provided where required by state law.
