Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant, based in Dubai. The Senior Accountant will oversee key financial operations, including preparing financial reports, managing budgets, analyzing costs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role includes maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing payroll, conducting internal audits, and ensuring effective financial planning. Attention to detail and industry-specific expertise in FMCG and manufacturing is essential for success in this role.
Financial Operations
- Manage full-cycle accounting (GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, journal entries)
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing
- Handle payroll, WPS, accruals, provisions, and fixed assets
Manufacturing & Costing
- Build and maintain product costing models
- Track raw material consumption, production yields, wastage, and variances
- Monitor batch costing for finished goods
- Analyze gross margins by SKU, product line, and channel
- Develop BOM costing and manufacturing variance reports
Inventory & Supply Chain Finance
- Monitor raw material, packaging, and finished goods inventory
- Reconcile warehouse, production, and system stock
- Lead cycle counts and stock audits
- Investigate shrinkage, variances, and stock discrepancies
Commercial & Retail Finance
- Monitor customer collections and retailer receivables
- Manage supplier payments and cashflow planning
- Review trade promotions, rebates, retailer deductions, and credit notes
- Analyze profitability by channel (Retail, Online, Marketplace, B2B)
Systems & Controls
- Work with Zoho Books, Zoho Inventory, Excel, and ERP systems
- Improve SOPs, reporting systems, and internal controls
- Build dashboards for weekly management reporting
- Ensure clean financial data and audit readiness
Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Support Corporate Tax compliance
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external consultants
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years UAE experience
- Minimum 3+ years in FMCG / Food Manufacturing
- Strong understanding of:
- Inventory accounting
- Product costing
- Manufacturing finance
- Cashflow management
- Retail receivables
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot, XLOOKUP, reporting)
- Experience with Zoho Books / Zoho Inventory preferred
- Strong communicator who can work independently
