About This Role
Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to manage full accounting, VAT compliance, inventory tracking, and channel profitability for a growing food brand based in Dubai.
This role is operational and execution-focused, with direct responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records while supporting business decisions through inventory and margin analysis.
Finance & Accounting
- Maintain full set of accounts using Zoho Books (or similar system)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Perform bank and cash reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including P&L
- Ensure accurate and timely UAE VAT filing and compliance
Inventory & Cost Control
- Track inventory levels across all SKUs
- Monitor stock cover and usage trends
- Support reorder planning based on sales velocity and lead times
- Identify slow-moving or excess inventory
Commercial & Channel Analysis
- Track gross margin per product and per sales channel (Amazon, retail, delivery platforms)
- Analyze product and channel profitability
- Highlight risks and recommend actions to improve margins
- Requirements
- 2–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and filing
- Experience with Zoho Books or similar accounting software
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in FMCG, food, or retail is a plus
- Detail-oriented with the ability to connect numbers to business decisions
