Job Summary

Accounting and Reporting

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports covering profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.

Analysis and Planning

• Prepare budget-versus-actual reports, variance analysis, and financial performance reports.
• Monitor real estate development project costs, development expenses, revenues, and project-related financial transactions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning activities.
• Provide accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information to support management decisions.

Compliance and Controls

• Ensure accounting records and financial reports comply with IFRS, UAE VAT requirements, and internal financial policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Review financial data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain effective internal financial controls.
• Support continuous improvement of accounting and reporting processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Hands-on experience with a real estate developer in the UAE is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, month-end closing, and account reconciliations.
• Good understanding of real estate development accounting, project costs, revenue, and development expenses.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT requirements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Advanced MS Excel and ERP or accounting systems proficiency.
• Strong analytical, numerical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Advantageous Qualification

• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, CMA, or CPA are advantageous.
