Senior Accountant Finance And Reporting

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage month-, quarter-, and year-end closes and prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain the general ledger, journals, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Report budget variances and financial performance; support budgets, forecasts, cash flow monitoring, and planning.
• Account for real estate project costs, expenses, revenues, and related transactions.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, and internal policies; coordinate audits and supporting documentation.
• Review financial data, resolve discrepancies, maintain controls, improve processes, and inform management decisions.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with a real estate developer in the UAE.
• Strong financial reporting, general ledger, closing, and reconciliation experience.
• Knowledge of real estate development accounting, IFRS, and UAE VAT.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Advanced MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems proficiency; strong analytical, numerical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• ACCA, CA, CMA, or CPA qualification is advantageous.
