Role Description
The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This role is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities.
The Senior Accountant prepares financial statements and management reports, monitors cash flow, and ensures accurate recording of inventory and cost of goods, particularly related to jewelry trading.
The role also oversees budgeting and forecasting, supports financial planning, and maintains compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
The Senior Accountant will collaborate with management to provide financial insights, improve internal controls, and support audits and other financial reviews.
Qualifications
- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Knowledge of UAE accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance; experience in retail or luxury goods is an advantage.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid skills in Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
